It's definitely worth having a look at the Red Bull Academy Lectures, they are a bit long and can become quite tedious, as some of the artist involved are not the most charismatic of people. But they do have a whole range of interesting, uncharismatic artists such as Pearson Sound, Oneohtrix Point Never, fucking Nile Rogers!!! Andrew Weatherall , DJ Spinn and DJ Rashad, DOOM and loads more.
The lectures (basically interviews) do give a really interesting insight in the artist and the work processes behind their distinguishable sounds. I recently watched the interview with Clams Casino and wanted to highlight two songs he discusses. Firstly the absolute classic from Progidy- Genesis, which Clams explains was one of his major influences. The tune is exellent, really lo-fi and emotional which you can hear in most of Clam’s productions. Later on in the interview they discuss his relationship with ASAP Rocky and play his tune Base produced by Clams.
There is so much hype around Clams Casino at the moment but it is really justified. He is a unique producer, who appeals to all types of music tastes and his sound will become a trend in hiphop music
