One of my favourite records from last year, and definitely the best hiphop I have heard in ages is Shabazz Palaces self titled EP. There isn't much to know about Shabazz Palaces, due to their serious lack of interviews but basically the rappers name is Palcaeer Lazaro and he was a member of the underground hiphop group Digable Planets (he was Butterfly). His new work is a radically different from Digable Planets and they were good........but lets just agree not as good as this.
