Hype William Does Shangaan Electro

I have been enjoying the Shangaan Shake series for a while now and was particularly grateful/excited to hear that Honest Jon’s are compiling the whole series together onto a single CD on 22^nd February. It’s a pretty mad blend of musical styles. The ‘Mark Ernestus Meets BBC’ got plenty of love last year and as did one of my favourites by Oni Ayhun. But this year the new Hype Williams remake is the standout track. The big twist is they have made it into a ‘lo fi’ dub record and Inga Copeland does all the vocals.
