Laurel Halo’s ‘Hour Logic’ album was not fully appreciated on this blog last year, which was very foolish, as it should be in fact a highlight of last year. It is a techno album only by definition, as the record should not be restricted to that genre alone. Techno is almost the backdrop for everything else, as the album is both a dance and a listening record. The success of Hour Logic, is how each song is wholly unique to the record, but also contains obvious continuity.
The big news is that she will release a new record via Mute Record’s sublabel Liberation Technologies, under the King Felix moniker, which I think is one of the greatest names for a female artist. If you haven’t heard Hour Logic, check it out and then start looking forward to the new EP on 12th March.
